Thirty islands make up Turks and Caicos Islands with eight of them inhabited. Turks and Caicos have been British since 1766 and is known as a tourist destination and for providing offshore financial services.

Wall diving is popular off the Turks as well as West Caicos and Provo. Sport fishing is big with Bonefish being popular. Providenciales (Provo for short) is the key tourist area, featuring Grace Bay, a huge stretch of soft sand.

On Middle Caicos, you can take a guided tour of Conch Bar, which has caves that are home to limestone formations and resident bats. Take time to explore archaeological excavations displaying Lucayan (Arawak Indians) pre-Columbian artefacts.
