Airports:	E.T. Joshua Airport (SVD) is on St. Vincent. Canouan Airport (CIW) is on Canouan. J.F. Mitchell Airport (BQU) is on Bequia. Mustique Airport (MQS) is on Mustique. Union Island Airport (UNI) is on Union Island. MQS and UNI support small aircraft only.

St. Vincent is the largest and most populated of the islands that comprise St. Vincent and the Grenadines; the Grenadines include Bequia, Canouan and Union Islands. The British took over the islands from the French in 1783 and became an independent member of the Commonwealth in 1979.

La Soufrière volcano, which last erupted in 1979, is a dominant feature of St. Vincent's landscape. Other natural features include the Falls of Baleine (boat access only). Fort Charlotte, is 19th century British military site in Kingstown, which has an interpretive display about the Carib culture. Kingstown's Botanical Gardens were founded in 1763 and has a tree on display that was brought to the island by Captain Bligh after the mutiny The Bounty.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines have a total of 32 islands and cays with only a few inhabited. Day trips with boats can allow you to imagine you have discovered an undiscovered Caribbean Island.
